In the Public Realm – Atkins (Local Authority News)

Atkins is delighted to be part of the team who delivered the Dungarvan town centre improvement scheme for Waterford County and City Council.

Kieran Boyle, Associate Director Atkins, stated that ‘This project is a very important addition to the locality, which will greatly enhance Dungarvan town centre. The overall vision from Waterford City and County Council is to improve the town centre for the people of Dungarvan by creating a pedestrian and cycle friendly environment and a far more attractive and safer place in which to shop, visit, do business, and pass the time of day.’

Atkins believes that the public realm embraces the external places in our towns and cities that are accessible to all. These are the everyday spaces that we move through and linger within, the places where we live, work, shop and socialise. Atkins are recently involved in delivery public realm projects around Ireland including Metals Dun Laoghaire; Monkstown Village Centre, Co. Dublin; Fitzwilliam Square, Co. Wicklow; Tralee Town Centre, Co. Kerry and Enniskerry Village Centre, Co. Wicklow.
