As a result of the N7 / M50 upgrade works in Dublin, the Luas Red Cow Tram Stop and associated Park and Ride facility are being relocated and approximately 900 metres of tram track is being realigned. Siac / Ferrovial Joint Venture appointed Atkins to carry out the detailed civil and structural design of the tram stop relocation, the park and ride facility and the track re-alignment works.
The works which were procured under a Design & Build Contract by the Rail Procurement Agency, are very much driven by Programme and Quality with exacting standards set by the RPA approvals group.
Atkins also provided a Design Site Representative to monitor the works and to act as a liaison between the Contractor and the Design Team.
