Cavan Town Eastern Access

Detailed design of the Cavan Town Eastern Access Road. Due to the unfavourable ground conditions the detailed design included the design of a piled embankment which incorporated a Load Transfer Platform (LTP) covering an area of 3500m2.

Provision of 1.6km of new 2 lane single carriageway road / street including 2 roundabout junctions. The scheme includes the provision of a combined cycleway/footway and all associated pedestrian facilities including on-road cycle lanes and off-road cycle paths, extensive landscaping, earthworks and pavement design, utility diversion and coordination, traffic signal design, reinforced concrete culvert, road drainage, including storm attenuation pond, petrol inceptors and outfalls and all associated civil engineering works such as piling and retaining walls.
